Mariketa, the Awaited
This pattern is for Mariketa, the Awaited. Mariketa, the Awaited, a 24-year-old Witch, only recently began transitioning into her immortality. She was prophesied to be the next Queen of Witchcraft. All Witches are endowed with the power of at least one caste (i.e., Warrior, Healer, Enchantress, Conjurer, and Seeress). Mariketa is predicted to possess the powers of all five castes, a rarity, and is destined to fight the Witches’ greatest foe, Häxa. While she learns to master her powers, the magical scarlet cape she wears hides and protects her from the world. Only when she has mastered her powers and defeated Häxa will she be referred to as Mariketa, the Awakened.
Mariketa is a nearly seamless crochet doll; her arms must be sewn on using the amigurumi seamless join technique. Also, I do not use wires in my designs, and she is solely stuffed with polyester fiberfill.
Size: With worsted weight yarn and a 2.25 mm crochet hook, Mariketa is roughly 11.5 inches tall and between 1 to 2 inches in width. She works up very quickly.
The pattern is in PDF format. The document is 21 pages in length and includes detailed instructions and numerous photo tutorials to guide you through the process of creating her.
The PDF file will be available to download as soon as you submit your payment (instant download). Also, if you have any questions while crocheting Mariketa, feel free to contact me.
