Needles:

• 4mm circular needles with a cable of 60 or 80cm, or size needed to obtain gauge.
• 3.5mm circular needles with a cable of 60cm to pick up stitches and finish the neckline.
• 3.5mm needles for finishing the sleeves in a small circumference, either with a short cable, a long cable for working Magic Loop or a set of DPNs.

Other Materials:

• 2 stitch markers, one of which should be different from the others to mark the beginning of the round.
• A long cable with a connector to allow you to try on the item as you go.
• Tape measure, tapestry needle, and scissors.

Gauge:

In stockinette stitch 10x10cm gives:

21 stitches x 29 rows before blocking. 20 stitches x 28 rows after blocking.

It’s a good idea to note down the measurements before and after blocking to be better able to estimate the final item measurements.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES:

MARINA is worked top down in sections, the shoulders and the body to the sleeves are worked flat, and the rest of the body and the armhole and neckline edgings are worked in the round.

The steps to follow are:

1.- The two shoulders are worked in a two-row stripe pattern.
2.- The shoulders are joined on one side to continue working the front down to the underarm in stripes of 20 rows.
3.- The neckline is finished.
4.- The other side of the shoulders are joined to continue working the back down to the underarm in stripes of 20 rows.
5.- Join in the round to work the body to the desired length.
6.- And the sleeves are finished in a 1x1 semi-twisted rib.

Agujas:

• Circulares de 4 mm con cable de 60 u 80 cm, ó grosor adecuado para obtener la tensión de la muestra.
• Circulares de 3.5 mm con cable de 60 cm para recoger puntos y para rematar el escote.
• Circulares especiales de 3.5 mm adecuadas para rematar las sisas en circular, ya sean agujas con cable corto, largo para tejer con Magic Loop o juego de 5 agujas.

Otros materiales:

• 2 marcadores, uno de ellos distinto a los demás para marcar el inicio de la vuelta.
• Cable largo con conector para ir probándonos la prenda.
• Cinta métrica, aguja lanera y tijeras.

Tensión:

A punto liso 10x10 cm son:
21 puntos y 29 pasadas antes del bloqueo.
20 puntos y 28 pasadas después del bloqueo.

Es aconsejable anotar las medidas de la muestra antes y después del bloqueo, de esa forma podremos estimar las medidas finales de la prenda.

CONSTRUCCIÓN:

MARINA se teje de arriba hacia abajo por partes, los hombros y el cuerpo hasta las sisas en abierto y el cuerpo y los remates de mangas y escote en circular.

Los pasos a seguir son:

1.- Se tejen los dos hombros a punto de rayas de dos pasadas.
2.- Se unen los hombros por uno de los laterales para seguir tejiendo el delantero hasta la sisa a punto de rayas de 20 pasadas.
3.- Se remata el escote.
4.- Se unen los hombros por los otros laterales para seguir tejiendo la espalda hasta la sisa a punto de rayas de 20 pasadas.
5.- Se une en circular para tejer hasta el largo deseado.
6.- Y se recogen los puntos para rematar las mangas según la versión que hayas elegido.
