Marina the mermaid amigurumi
by Heidi Making
This amigurimi mermaid is crocheted using acrylic yarn and a 3mm hook. This created a mermaid approximately 24cm - a different yarn may change the gauge. Made predominantly using double crochet with a few bobble stitches, this would suit and intermediate crocheter
This amigurumi mermaid is crocheted in a spiral and uses UK terms.
Materials:
- Approximately 30g of a DK weight skin colour - I used Stylecraft Special DK - Toy
- Approximately 25g of a DK weight hair colour - I used Stylecraft Special DK - Buttermilk and Copper (for the different mermaids)
- Approximately 40g of a DK weight tail colour - I used Stylecraft Cabaret in Midnight Hours
- Polyester toy stuffing
- 2 x 9mm safety eyes
- small amount of black and pink embroidery threads for eyelashes and mouth
- yarn needle, stitch marker and scissors
