ENGLISH:

The Marine cardigan is knitted in a textured stitch that creates an impression of marine cord. Its motif is easy to make only with knit stitches and purl stitches. Its thick cotton thread brings comfort and elegance. Its top-down assembly (from top to bottom) allows you to define the length of the body as well as the sleeves. You will knit the back piece first to the armholes. Then you will pick up stitches on the shoulders to knit the right and left fronts to the armholes. Finally, you will knit the back and fronts at the same time from the armholes to the given or desired length. The sleeves are worked from top to bottom, back and forth to the armhole and then in circular. The pattern chart is given for each size as well as the related explanations.

The Marine cardigan is meant to be worn with 15 cm of ease. Choose the size that best fits your bust measurement with 15 cm ease included.

Bust sizes ( under armholes ) : 97 / 102 / 107 / 112 / 122 / 132 cm with 15 cm of positive ease.

Lenght : 50 / 52 / 54 / 56 / 58 / 60 cm from the bottom of the cardigan to the top of the shoulders

Gauge: 10X10 : 17 stitches and 22 rows in stockinette stitch using 5mm needle

Pattern Gauge textured: 10X10 : 21 stitches and 28 rows using 4mm needle

Suggested needles: Circular needle 4 mm ( 40 and 80 cm or only 80 cm with the magic loop method) , 3 mm ( 40 and 80 cm or only 80 cm with the magic loop method)

Material: Row counter, stitches markers and 9 / 9 / 9 / 10 / 10 / 11 small diameter buttons.

Suggested yarns : Cotton Paris from Drops design or yarn to get needed gauge and equivalent weight.

Le cardigan Marine est tricoté dans un point texturé qui crée une impression de cordage marin. Son motif est facile à réaliser puisqu’il n’est fait que de mailles endroit et de mailles envers. Son fil en coton épais apporte confort et élégance. Son montage en top down (du haut vers le bas) vous permet de définir la longueur du corps ainsi que des manches. Vous tricoterez en premier le dos jusqu’aux emmanchures. Dans un second temps vous relèverez des mailles aux épaules pour tricoter les devants droit et gauche jusqu’aux emmanchures. Enfin, vous tricoterez le dos et les devants en même temps à partir des emmanchures jusqu’à la longueur donnée ou désirée. Les manches sont tricotées du haut vers le bas en aller retour jusqu’à l’emmanchure puis en circulaire. La grille motif est donnée pour chaque taille ainsi que les explications qui y sont liées.
