I found these wonderful brass marine uniform buttons at a thrift store. They were manufactured between 1903 to 1937. I decided I wanted to make something that would suggest the history of the buttons a bit so after looking at marine uniforms I came up with this. Marine uniforms are navy blue with red piping and a white belt.
