The Marchmont Mariner was inspired by the ever pervasive sailor collar, filtering into mainstream fashion from men’s naval uniforms of the early 19th and 20th centuries. Influenced by varsity prep and nautical aesthetics, the Mariner is knit in 100% cotton for a soft easy feel, perfect for late summer evenings by the water. The Mariner has a cropped fit, but can be made longer per the knitter’s preference. The neckline is left unfinished and is enveloped in a large statement collar featuring the same varsity stripe that lines the waistline and wrist ribbing. The body is knit bottom-up, while sleeves are knit top-down.
