Mariposa
Inspired by butterflies, this poncho is named after the Spanish word for butterfly, Mariposa. The poncho is worked from the top down with an all over beaded lace pattern. It comes in two lengths but it’s easy to customise (see below and pattern notes on page 2 of pattern).

Schoppel Zauberball 100 (4ply; 100% Wool; 400m/437yds per 100g) x 2 (3) balls. Shown in shade: 2517

4mm (UK 8/US 6) circular needles (40cm and 80cm long)

Size:
Length: 33 (41.5)cm /13¼ (16½)in
Fits a range of body shapes. Model is wearing the largest size and has a bust measurement of 135cm (54in) and is 178cm tall.
Notes re size:
The poncho can be made longer or shorter by working more or fewer repeats of Charts A and/or B. Yarn and bead requirements will change accordingly.
Tension:
20 sts and 35 rounds over 10cm/4in in Chart A after blocking.
Exact tension is not essential but a difference in tension may affect the final size and amount of yarn used.
