FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Since this is an unfitted and oversized sweater, the measurements given below are for the width and length of the garment only. The sweater is intended to fit loosely with a few inches of additional room in the width, making it an oversized style.
XS – 19” width, 44.5” length
S – 20” width, 47.5” length
M – 23” width, 50” length
L – 25” width, 52.5” length
XL – 28” width, 55.5” length
XXL – 29” width, 58” length

PATTERN AND SIZING NOTES

– The sweater is done in filet style and as such, the pattern is explained in terms of holes and solid blocks. Mostly we will count the holes, since it’s easier to count than the individual stitches themselves

  • When referencing the graph for the butterfly portion of the sweater, the first solid block will always be counted as 3 stitches, the remaining will be 2
  • The CH at the beginning of every row is being counted as the first post stitch
  • The stitch count and “holes” count will be indicated in parentheses at the end of the rows (in reference to rows that do not have the butterfly filet in them)
  • The sweater is done as a large rectangle with a neck hole created in the middle. The sleeves are then crocheted out from the sides at an even interval from either side of middle (middle is where the neck hole is). The sweater is then seamed down the sleeve, through the arm pit and down the side. Very simple assembly.
  • The butterfly filet is the same size on all sizes in the patterns, adjusting for more or less rows and stitches around the butterfly to make the various sizes. The butterfly is 28 rows in height and 71 stitches (35 ‘holes’) in width
