This is a slouchy market bag knit in the round. The rectangular base is knit in seed stitch, and then stitches are picked up and knit in the round in the wandering lace pattern to the top, where the border of the bag is knit in ribbing. The wandering lace pattern is knit on size 8 needles, and the rest of the bag is knit on size 7 needles. Recommended circular needle lengths for both needles is 24 inches. The original pattern calls for one cone of Premier Home Cotton, but smaller skeins can also be used.
