Marl-velous
When a few yarns of a similar color are held together and knitted with large needles, it creates a delightful multifaceted marled effect with depth and dimension--in addition to endlessly squishy comfort. A new scarf was designed for my mother who is perpetually cold in our blustery New York winters as a surprise gift to help keep her warm.
This pattern design in US knit terms may not be distributed or sold as your own, but feel free to sell a finished item made from this pattern.
level: beginner
skills: know how to: cast on (c/o), knit (k), purl (p), bind off (b/o)
finished size: ~9” (23cm) wide x ~64” (162cm) long
gauge: not crucial for non-fitted items
needles: size US 19 (15mm) straights ~8-10” (~20-25cm) long

+ 4-5 skeins Fingering/Sport/DK weight at 100 yards each for marled color B (purples)

As a crocheter for ~25 years and a knitter for ~4, feel free to get in touch at any time with pattern-related questions and/or comments and I’ll typically get back to you within 24 hours.
Enjoy, loves!
Warmly,
Stacy a.k.a. zonal
