The Marlo Slouchy Hat is the perfect pair to Marlo’s Cowl. I loved the texture so much, I had to create the perfect hat to go with the cowl.

These two items (the slouchy and the cowl) were created in memory of my dog Marlo, whom had to be put down on 1/10/19. She was my dog of 11 years, that I’ve known since she was only a week old. My better half, my shadow, my confidant, and my best friend - she will be terribly missed. To say there was a lot of love put into the creation of these pattern, is a tremendous understatement.

The Marlo Slouchy Hat is written for adult small/medium head sizes with a 20” brim. This can be easily altered for any size, by adjusting the brim size as needed by keeping to an odd number of stitches overall.

Materials:

• 7.0mm crochet hook (for the brim)
• 12.0 mm crochet hook (for the body)
• 1 skein Lion Brand Scarfie (312 yds) in the color of your choosing or any heavy worsted weight yarn. Note: This works up best with a heavy worsted weight or light bulky (5) yarn and uses about 170 yds for adult sm/med.
• Scissors
• Darning needle for weaving in your ends
• Cup of your favorite tea or coffee to enjoy while creating!! I am enjoying a cup of coffee with a big marshmallow in memory of my pup Marlo.
