---- “Marmalade” Crochet Square ----
This little square has a puffy middle and raised edge around the circle to give it texture. It also features “decorative” corners.

Yarn used: Red Heart Roll With It Melangè. Colorways are Hollywood and Paparazzi.
Size J hook.

• (I get approx. 16 squares out of each  cake.)
• Squares measure approx. 5” × 5”.
• Stitch count = 15 stitches per side.

(Any yarn weight can be used along with a suitably sized hook. Size of course will vary.)

STITCHES USED:
CH, SC, HDC, DC, TR.
SS = Slip Stitch.

PUFF STITCH - Explained in pattern.
HDC WORKED IN THE THIRD LOOP.

A few details about how I put these squares together for this blanket:

Approx. 2 cakes of Red Heart Roll With It Melangè used. Colorways are Paparazzi & Hollywood. (30 squares)

Lion Brand Cotton Ease (cotton/acrylic blend) in Moonstone was used for joining and border. Approx. 2 skeins. (Unfortunately, this yarn is now discontinued. A cotton blend that can be substituted is Premier Home Cotton.)

Additionally, a misc. amount of scrap yarn was used for the two stripes around done with Moss/Linen Stitch.
A size J hook.

Measures approx. 30” × 36”.

Squares were joined using a HDC tight join. (I used HDC while continuously joining with a tight join.)

After all of the squares were joined 6 rounds of Moss/Linen Stitch were added.
(FOUR rounds were done using Moonstone. Two rounds were done with scraps.)

Border details:
“RICK RACK BORDER”.
Working on a foundation of Moss/Linen Stitch. Its SS, DC, SS worked in chain 1 space. Skip next stitch. SS in next chain 1 space. SS in next stitch. SS, DC, SS in next chain 1 space. Continue all around, making 2 SS, DC, 2 SS in EACH CORNER.
SS = Slip Stitch.

Details for the --PINK-- “Marmalade Square Blanket”. ~ ❤
Yarn used: Wool Queen Echo Cake Yarns in Sweet Trap = Approx. 2 cakes & Lollipop = Approx. 2 cakes. 3.5 OZ/242 yds per cake. Worsted Weight 4 Yarn.
-- I got approx. 12 squares per cake. Approx. 20 yds per square. --
I had some yarn leftover, as I only used 42 squares for my blanket.
(I found this on Amazon. When I bought it, it was substantially cheaper than it is today. Hopefully it will go back down.)

I joined all of my squares using a tight join with HDC stitches. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Blush Heather for the JOIN and most of the BORDER. (Total amount of Blush Heather used was approx. 2 skeins.)

After joining, I continued around with 2 rounds of Moss/Linen stitch using Blush Heather. I then did 2 rounds of Moss/Linen stitch using 2 different accent colors. I followed that with another round in Blush Heather. = 5 rounds of Moss/Linen stitch.
NOTE: For all of the above rounds of Moss/Linen stitch I put SC, chain 2, SC in each CORNER.

The next round is DC in chain 1 space. Chain 1. Skip next stitch. Worked all around, making DC, chain 3, DC in each CORNER.

Next round is Moss/Linen stitch worked all around, with SC, chain 3, SC in each corner.

Next round is Moss/Linen stitch worked all around, with SC, chain 2, SC in each corner.

Upon this foundation my “Rick Rack Border” was added.
Border details:
