This season my son asked for a basic manufactured hat he could wear both for sports and in everyday life. Of course, I couldn’t allow to buy such hat from any mass market shops and choose easy half-twisted ribbing pattern to knit this hat for him.
Somehow, I ended up knitting this style hat for the whole family and wrote down the pattern, so you can knit it for your loved ones or for yourself too.
Happy knitting during these holidays and always!

Marrow hat is a ribbed, unisex hat for the whole family. This hat is designed in half-twisted ribbing pattern, both easy and engaging to knit. Half-twisted ribbing creates a manufactured looking fabric and it’s worked easier than fully twisted ribbing.
It’s a perfect small project for making holiday gifts or just for relaxed or travel knitting.

Marrow hat is worked bottom up seamlessly in the round with folded brim in half-twisted ribbing.
At first, work brim in half-twisted ribbing, as brim reached the desired length, turn your work using double stitch and continue to work the main part in half-twisted ribbing.
Hat is finished with crown shaping using twisted stitches as well.
