This thick cotton lady cardigan is in a relaxed fit in a textured pattern suitable all year round – warm in the winter and pleasant for a chilly summer night. The patterns are worked from charts in the written pattern. The sleeves are shaped on top for set-in sleeves with sleeve-cap.
Knowledge required for knitting is just how to knit and purl. The cardigan is not difficult to make for yourself – this type of knitting is interesting and has a nice variety. To be worked flat from the right front opening over the back to the left front – no sideseams!
The pattern is available in English, German, Italian and Danish and holds the sizes small/medium, large and xlarge.

Yarn: the model is made in our AGRIGENTO, 100 % mercerized Egyptian cotton, 6 – 8 – 10 balls, 1 ball = 100 g (3 ½ oz) – an ARAN weight yarn meaning 185 m (200 yds) per 100 m. The cotton fibres are imported directly from Egypt and the yarn is manufactured and dyed in Italy according to the proper EU regulations and with all due respect of the nature and environment. The yarn has CEE certification.
Other yarns suitable: DEBBIE BLISS Pure cotton, ROWAN Hand Knit Cotton, GARNSTUDIO Drops Paris.
Needles: no 4 mm, 4 ½ mm.
Tension/gauge in stocking sts: 17 sts on needles no 4 ½ mm = 10 cm (4 in).
