The simple construction of the Marsh Ways Scarf knitted in Chincoteague Colors DK weight yarn gives a quick and satisfying project that you will enjoy wearing or giving as a special gift. And anyone who has visited Chincoteague Island knows the long causeway with its marshes on either side.

The uniqueness of this Island is represented in the many parts of the scarf, from the lace edging to the eyelet top and the gentle crescent shape of the scarf.

Knitted from wingtip to wingtip with knitted in lace edging. Requires one skein of Chincoteague Colors Channel Collection yarn (250 yds).

Size 6 (4mm) 24” circular needles or 12” straight needles are used. The gauge is not essential to this project.

Skill level is for an intermediate knitter.
Jan 1, 2015. Currently not selling to buyers in EU until VAT issues resolved.

The pattern includes both written and charted instructions.

Chincoteague Colors yarn in the Channel Collection (DK wt) is recommended for this shawl. A soft, 100% merino yarn, it is perfect for a scarf to snug about your neck. It is dyed on Chincoteague Island by Carodan Farm and reflects the many colors found on the Island.
