Marsha P Johnson
by L Hodgins
This pattern was created as part of a series of patterns I made for pride month on important historical LGBTQ+ figures. Marsha P Johnson was a self- identifying drag queen and gay/ trans rights activist who set up the charity STAR (street transvestites action revolution) in 1970, along with her friend Sylvia Rivera. She was also a key figure in the 1969 Stonewall riots.
