The Marshmallow Cardigan Crochet Pattern!

I wanted to create a super cozy cardigan, perfect for fall or early spring evenings. This is a chunky yet fitted cardigan that can be made a size up for a more oversized feel! It is perfect for beginners but also for advanced crocheters who love projects that work up fast!

This is a size inclusive pattern and is NOT made to measure, each size has full instructions and stitch counts as well as a full measurement guide with models at the end of the pattern!

Sizes included: XXS/XS(XS/S,S/M,M/L,L/XL,XL/2X,2X/3X,3X/4X,4X/5X)

For this pattern you will need:

• Tapestry Needle & Scissors

• Yarn Type for Body of Cardigan: Any chenille style super bulky (6) or jumbo (7) yarn that recommends using an 11.5mm-15mm crochet hook. You can also hold two strands of lighter weight yarn together for the body too, just double the yardage listed below and be sure to check your gauge.

• Yards of yarn needed for Body of Cardigan: XXS/XS (350), XS/S (380), S/M (410), M/L (440), L/XL (470), XL/2X (500), 2X/3X (530) , 3X/4X (560) ,4X/5X (590) - You may need more of less than this estimate depending on the yarn you choose. When in doubt order an extra skein!

• Yarn Type for Ribbing of Cardigan: Double stranded super bulky (6) yarn that recommends an 8mm or 9mm hook (I used Lion Brand wool ease thick & quick and Lion Brand hometown USA). Note - if you want to use a yarn that recommends a larger hook size than 8mm or 9mm on the label for your ribbing you can hold it single stranded, just cut the needed yardage listed below in half and be sure to check your gauge!

• Yards of yarn needed for Ribbing of cardigan: XXS/XS (197), XS/S (217), S/M (237), M/L (257), L/XL (277), XL/2X (297), 2X/3X (317) , 3X/4X (337) ,4X/5X (357) - You may need more of less than this estimate depending on the yarn you choose. When in doubt order an extra skein!

Hooks & Gauge:
• Hook used for Body of Cardigan: 16mm hook | Gauge for body (4”×4”): 5 SC rows x 5 SC sts
• Hook used for Ribbing of Cardigan: 12mm hook | Gauge for ribbing: 6 rows of SC BLO ribbing per 4”

Chest diameter of finished cardigan: XXS/XS (33”), XS/S (37.8”), S/M (41”), M/L (45.8”), L/XL (49”), XL/2X (53.8”), 2X/3X (57”), 3X/4X (61.8”), 4X/5X (66.6”)

Length of finished cardigan: XXS/XS,XS/S,S/M,M/L & L/XL - 23” | XL/2X,2X/3X,3X/4X 4X/5X - 24”
