This is a crochet pattern for a snowy owl that is also a wizard. Inspired from a previous pattern I made, but now smaller and in chenille yarn! I love it in this plush yarn!
The body and wings are made together so it is low sew. The hat and feet are sewn on.

Size: 9 inches, works up fast! - 6 inches without the hat
Difficulty: Medium. Beginner friendly, but not recommended as your first amigurumi.
Stitches (US): sl, sc, inc, dec, dc, dcinc, flo, blo, hdc, hdcinc, hdctog

Suggested Yarn
This is what I used, but don’t be afraid to do your own version!
Optional for sewing I used worsted weight, 4ply acryllic yarn. Red heart super saver in colors close to the owl, like RHSS “White,” RHSS “Light Grey,” and RHSS “Royal Blue”

Gauge: 15 single crochet stitches by 15 rows makes a 4x4 inch square.
Because this is a non-wearable item, you don’t need to stress too much about gauge as long as your stitches are tight enough that the stuffing doesn’t show.

For the owl itself, I used #6 Chunky yarn, specifically Premier Parfait Chunky in the following colors and amounts
White – Premier Parfait Chunky “White” – 90 yards
Grey – Premier Parfait Chunky “Seal” – 11 yards
Blue – Premier Parfait Chunky “Classic Blue” – 36 yards
Yellow – Premier Parfait Chunky “Sunshine” – Less than 10 yards.
Yardage can vary by person and gauge. These are estimates based on my own use. It is always good to have a little extra just in case!

You will also need:
Hook Sizes: G (4.25 mm)
20 mm safety eyes (or another alternative eye the same size. Safety eyes are a choking hazard)
Stuffing
Optional 1/2 inch button
