“Mary” is named after my mothers oldest sister. It is the first in a series of scarf and shawl patterns named for my mother and her siblings.

This is a great beginners lace pattern. It can be knit on most weight yarns, don’t stop with the lace weight!

In the picture at the left, Kiki is showing “Mary” knit in her homespun (on the drop spindle!). She added to the width by increasing the number of stitches cast on.
