Mary Jane Poncho
This pattern is fun to make and extremely versatile! You can express your creativity easily with various types of yarns, textures and colors and create a fantastic wearable art piece you can literally wear year-round. Simply by adjusting your hook size you can change up the drape and make it oversized, or if you prefer tighter stitches you can add additional granny square rows as well. This project allows for a lot of creativity as you can work with a variety of worsted weight yarns and art yarns for added texture. I used 9 different yarns on my featured poncho and also doubled up thinner yarns on one of the rows. This is also a great pattern to try if you are wanting to practice your color work skills, wether your more of a beginner, intermediate, or advanced crocheter you are surely going to enjoy making the Mary Jane Poncho! It’s super functional and you can also wear it 2 different ways- it’s a super fun layering piece that layers great with any outfit-you will surely get loads of compliments wearing it too!
