My first attempt at a pattern, inspired by a hat my daughter bought in Ireland that was made out of knitted fabric that was cut and sewed together. My version is knit in one piece.

you can use any yarn, the hat is knit to dimensions, so gauge is really not important.

Needles:
2 pair size 6 circulars or one pair size 6 and one smaller
Size 6 dpns - an additional set of size 5 is useful

Additional materials:
1 1/4 yards boning or 45” electrical tie strap
