Mary Shelley is a semi-circular shawl inspired by Frankenstein, and named after the author of the novel. Frankenstein is considered to be a start to the science fiction genre. The shape and stitches are inspired by the patched together body of Frankenstein’s monster. Semi-solids, variegated and speckled colorways will all be able to shine in this shawl!

Yarn
2 skeins of fingering weight yarn in different colors. One (semi-)solid and one variegated or speckled yarn works best, but it’s all up to you!

Gauge
21 stitches x 35 rows per 4”/10cm in blocked stockinette stitch.

Gauge isn’t critical, but will affect finished measurements and total yardage.

Size
Approximate size after blocking: 190cm/74.8” width and 55cm/21.6” center depth.
