Masha is a round yoke colorwork sweater, worked from the top down in the round, seamlessly. The colorwork is hard to put down, simply just fun to knit. The end result is a stunning, intricate and interesting sweater of colorwork dreams! Masha was originally published in my first book “Only Yoking”, along with 11 other yoke sweaters.
For Masha, choose two colors that have great contrast between each other, to use in the yoke section. Then add a third complementary color for the rest of the sweater. The yarn used in this sweater has excellent stitch definition which helps the colors pop against each other even more.
I made this sweater with a slightly cropped body. Remember that you can customize the length of your sweater by knitting more or less in the stockinette / stocking stitch portion of the body. Just remember that this will change the yarn quantity requirements for your project.
