Mask Mate for Ponytail
This ponytail mask mate pattern was designed after I started making mask mates to help prevent ear discomfort from wearing a medical mask for extended periods of times. A friend wears a ponytail at work almost every day & requested one that would fit around her ponytail.
Gauge is not important for this project.
Any worsted weight 100% cotton yarn can be used.
Cotton is highly recommended so these can be sanitized/washed & dried at high temperatures.
Finished length is approximately 7 inches. The length can be easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing the foundation chain.
Supplies:
size G crochet hook
100% cotton yarn
needle
2 buttons (I used 1 inch/25mm)
Stitch Abbreviations:
hdc - half double crochet
sc - single crochet
ch - chain
st - stitch
These are a great way to use up some scrap cotton yarn.
Note: I have added a smaller 2nd pdf. The larger file (Mask Mate for Ponytail 2) is suited for beginners with a photo tutorial. The smaller file (Mask Mate for Ponytail 3) is step by step written instructions with no photos tutorial.
