Matchbox Christmas Stocking Mouse
This Christmas stocking, containing a little mouse, is perfect for hanging on your tree. The pattern also includes printable templates to enable you to make the box, making it an ideal gift or craft fair item.
This pattern is 10 pages long and contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English using American crochet terms. This pattern also contains printable templates for you to make your own matchbox in a choice of 3 styles!
You will need:
DK weight yarn (this is equivalent to light worsted weight) for the mouse in grey & pale pink.
DK weight yarn for the stocking in red & white.
A 3mm crochet hook. (It is important that your finished mouse will be the correct size to fit inside the matchbox. I have therefore included measurements for each section throughout the pattern. If your pieces are turning out to be any larger than mine, I would recommend switching to a smaller hook. The completed mouse should be approximately 6cm tall.)
A small amount of toy stuffing.
A small amount of black finer yarn / embroidery thread for adding the eyes.
Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle and some scissors.
To make the matchbox you will need access to a printer and to print the relevant pages onto some thin white card.
You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
