This basket is inspired by my cat, Matcha. She’s a calico :)
The name Matchestino is a word-play, it comes from “Matcha” and “cestino” (the Italian word for basket).

This is a pattern to crochet the basked: a pdf file, not the finished item.

Crochet level and techniques
This pattern is worked using waistcoat stitch and seamless joint. These techniques are explained in detail inside the pattern. The instructions are suitable for you as long as you’re familiar with making a magic ring and work a single crochet.

Material
I used cord (YarnArd macrame cord 3mm) and a 6.0mm crochet hook. If you stick to the indicated way of a changing colour, you’re going to need one skein per colour.
