This pattern can be worked in Fingering, Sport, DK, or Worsted-weight yarn. Gauge is not important, just go with the needle size that gives you a fabric that you like.
Math by Osmosis is a center out baby blanket featuring garter stitch ridges that are worked in the Fibonacci sequence. The Fibonacci sequence is a sequence in which each number is the sum of the two previous numbers. The sequence begins with 0, 1. Fibonacci sequence: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144, …
The increases are made before and after each 2 stitch corner and are worked every other round using yarn overs.
