I decided to design a beanie on my grandmother’s birthday after a couple of months of isolation due to Covid - 19 lockdowns in Australia where I was knitting and crocheting but not designing .
I realised I had some spare leftover Nundle Woollen Mills Chaffey from the cable beanies I usually knit for the Beanie Festival in Alice Springs .
The colours work really well together as they are designed to reflect the colours of the landscape here in Australia and I was able to add to the iso knitting craze of people using scraps to design beautiful , wearable accessories while also eliminating waste .
