Matilda's Eary Hat
Matilda’s Eary Hat is a hat-and-scarf in one. (Look below for version with earflaps instead of attached scarf)
Thanks to the very bulky yarn, Matilda’ is a quick knit. It is easy too, with just a small lace detail that helps to shape the funny ‘ears’. A connected scarf makes this hat a very warm accessory for cold winter days.
Matilda is named after actor Heath Ledger’s daughter. She wore a hat like this in several pictures. This reverse engineered pattern is based on those pictures.
The pattern has been test knitted.
