This pattern is special to me and it brings to mind nice memories. I was by the Italian Riviera with my friend Azzuka and our children for a long weekend. One evening we were talking about knitting, designs and patterns, and the same night I started thinking about this top. I wanted something simple but trendy, lacy but minimal: the MatRac Top is the result of those thoughts. It is versatile, I have realized it both in cotton for the summer and in wool for the winter.

It is knitted in the round from the bottom up and it is divided in two only from the beginning of the armholes. At that point I have knitted first the back (leaving the other part on provisional needles) and afterwards the front with the shoulder straps, that are then sewn to the back part of the top.
