Maud Fingerless Gloves
These gloves were inspired by my Nanna Maud who taught me to knit and supplied me with wool and access to her stash of knitting-needles. They are a perfect introduction to colour work - using just 2 colours in a row.
Each glove is made as a simple rectangle with one decrease row of shaping. The pattern uses only knit and purl stitches – in stocking stitch, a double rib and moss stitch.
Finished Size: To fit a medium-sized adult hand measuring approximately 19 cm round the palm, above the thumb – the finished glove measures approximately 10 cm wide x 20 cm long.
Yarn: 3 x 50g balls of 4 ply yarn will give you enough to make a couple of pairs of gloves. We used 3 x 50g balls of Knitpicks Palette Fingering/4 ply weight in Masala (A), Spearmint (B) & Almond (C)
