Maude Loves Harold Socks
… and Harold loves Maude. These socks are named after 2 of my favourite characters from any movie ever.
Requires: 2 complimentary solid coloured fingering weight yarns, DPNS or Circular Needles in US size 1, 2 if a tight knitter (see gauge), 2 stitch markers, 1 tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
Skills needed: Casting on, knitting in the round, working with 2 yarns at the same time, following a chart, knitting short rows, decreasing, and kitchener stitch or 3 needle bind off.
-
Be aware of tension and keep stranding loose enough for stretch. If need be, go up a needle size.
-
Be aware of yarn dominance to maintain foreground/background yarn colour. (dominant yarn is usually held in left hand if two handed knitting)
Sizing: Ladies’ US size 6 to 8 (9 to 11)
Thanks goes to the fabulous test knitters mockasian , loonywooly, razzafrogie , taiteetane. Thank you so much as i could not have done it without you all.
