This flamboyant and elegant rectangular shawl evokes feelings of sensuality, of giving in to temptation. It casts a spell of opulence, yet remains breathtaking in its simplicity.
The shawl is constructed with a long center section, knit through from bottom to top, and a wide edging which is knit onto the body of the shawl. It can be knit in a single color, two contrasting colors, or two shades of the same color.

Yarn: “Whisper” 50% kid mohair/50% shantung silk, 50g/500m
Color 1 (center rectangle): 98g/980m
Color 2 (edging): 92g/920m
Needles: for center 2,5 mm, for edging 2,75mm
Finished size: 100 x 200 cm

The sample piece was knit using two different needle sizes, so that the edging has a texture which is slightly more open. This is not essential - feel free to experiment!
