Mauka Beanie
The ridges in this pattern remind me of the mountains in Hawai’i … and that’s exactly what mountains are called in Hawaiian; Maukas. These yarns are impressive, I wasn’t expecting to like them. But they’re super soft and easy to work with! One skein is enough yarn to probably make 3 of these beanies, but I bought 2 so I could do some colorwork and they turned out so beautifully!
1 Skein Lion Brand Re-Spin Thick & Quick Yarn (2 if you want to switch colors as in the photos. (Espresso and Wysteria shown)
Size P (11.50 mm) Crochet Hook (Now this may pose a problem as hooks in this size range vary greatly! 11.50 mm may not be exact but if it’s labeled P, you should be fine.
Yarn Needle; sewing needle
1 Decorative Button (as desired) The flower shown I found at Joann Fabric
