Maule significa lluvioso en Mapudungún. Este gorro lo inicié en un viaje de fin de semana a los campos de la región del Maule, en donde el río y sus viñedos colindantes me inspiraron a tejerlo. Es muy rápido de tejer, ideal para llevarlo como compañero a un viaje corto o tejer mientras ves tu serie favorita.

1 hebra de hilado grosor DK y 1 hebra de hilado grosor lace tejidas juntas, como alternativa puede usarse 1 hebra de hilado grosor worsted. Las cantidades a usar son:
Hilado grosor DK: 130 (144, 160, 180) m.
Hilado grosor lace: 100 (120, 140, 160) m.
Como ejemplo usé Merino DK (100% merino; 240 m/100 gr) y Kid Silk Mohair (65% kid mohair, 35% silk; 500 m/50 g) Chile Sheep Wool.

Palillos
Palillos circulares 5 mm - 40 cm. También pueden usarse palillos de doble punta, o de 80 cm utilizando la técnica magic loop.

Maule means rainy in Mapudungún. I started this hat on a weekend trip to the countryside in the Maule region of Chile, where the river and surrounding vineyards inspired me to knit it. It’s a quick knit, perfect for a short trip or to knit while watching your favorite show.

DK weight yarn held with lace weight yarn, but if you substitute I suggest using a worsted weight yarn. The quantities to be used are:
DK weight yarn: 130 (144, 160, 180) m.
Lace weight yarn: 100 (120, 140, 160) m.
