7 stitches to 1 inch using 3mm US 2.5 needles

Materials:
5 hanks (probably 5 oz) Pearsall’s Jewel Rayon, or
10 hanks Pearsall’s Ruby Rayon
6 buttons
short length of ribbon for button band backing

I think that the original yarn was a light fingering or 3-ply but as a rayon it would definitely been slinky
