Maurice the Monkey
by The Land
This pattern is
available for free.
This monkey has no shaping and is made out of a loop stitch.
No patterns, and very few directions, are needed for this method of toy-making. All kinds of animals, of which Maurice the Monkey, whom you see here, is an example, can be made from straight strips and squares of looped knitting. The stitch gives a delightful furry surface, and it is so soft and pliable that it can easily be shaped to make the limbs and body of any animal.
MATERIALS: odd ball of wool and a pair of fine needles.
