Mavka
Mavka dress is made of motifs, which are joined as you go. A hexagon motif and its variations are used in this design to shape the garment without breaking the spectacular geometric pattern.
The name Mavka references a forest nymph in the Ukrainian language.
The clear lines, a gradually expanding silhouette and a flared skirt make this dress both playful, feminine and practical.

GAUGE
Due to the nature of the pattern and the motifs used, only one motif layout is provided for all the sizes.
Change the size of the motifs by using thinner/thicker yarn or a smaller/larger hook size to make your dress smaller or larger. If between sizes, opt for the larger size to achieve a relaxed fit.
The dress is shown in size M 36-38’’ (91.5-96.5 cm) bust circumference with a 7’’ (18 cm) wide motif.
YARDAGE
The yardage will depend on chosen yarn, hook size, and the gauge achieved.
An approximate yardage is 1969 yd (1800 m) for thread and lace-weight yarn and 2850 yd (2606 m) for fingering-weight yarn.
Bear in mind that modifications made (reduced or extended length) will affects yardage too.
