Maxima Shawl
This shawl is knit from the center neck, increasing in length and width. The pattern is written for one skein of Manos Maxima, which produces a scarf-like shawl which is more wide than deep. The lace is very basic. Feel free to use any yarn and knit until the shawl is the size desired. I used the same pattern with the Done Roving Gradient DK, but added wider areas of garter stitch than what is written in the pattern. Just repeat rows 5 and 6 more times for the garter sections. The YO at the beginning of every row is worked by bringing the yarn to the front and letting it go over the right hand needle as you knit the first stitch. I also spaced the picots in the bind off a little farther apart by casting on 2 and binding off 5 instead of 4.
