ABOUT PATTERN
The Maxine Hat is worked from top to bottom, with two strands
of yarn held together.
The top of the hat is crocheted and the hem is knitted.
You will have to start with a magic ring and crochet in spiral rounds
until the top part is finished.
Then change to circular needles and work the hem in the round
in reverse stockinette stitch. Finally, sew the hem with a tapestry
needle, and with a crochet hook work the lines on the top of the hat.

SIZES
The Maxine Hat is available in adult size (55 -58 cm)

YARNS ET MATERIALS
Approx. 100 g of Pingo Mohair from PINGUOIN (50 g = 270 m),
Color: Rouge Flamme.
Circular needles 3,5 mm 80 mm
Hook 4 mm
Hook 2,5 mm (to work the lines on the top of the hat)
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
The swatch below are shown without blocking.
As the upper part of the hat is hooked, it does not need to be
blocked.
CROCHET PART:
19 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm in single crochet, 2 threads held
together, crochet hook 4 mm.
KNITTED HEM:
17 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm stockinette stitch, 2 threads held
together, circular needle 3,5 mm.

CROCHET
Sc: single crochet US = double crochet UK
Sc2in: Increase = 2 single crochet worked into the same stitch
Sl st: slip stitch
