My best friend and I recently started attending the Bristol Renaissance Faire, and we both love the joust. She is quite smitten with a certain knight whose “heart is as black as the charred landscape which he doth leave in his wake,” according to the Master of Arms. Even though he is the mortal enemy of my champion, I designed these gloves for her birthday. They are meant to mimic his sigil: a golden chain on a field of black.
