Max's Dog Sweater
I designed this as a custom request for a friend’s dog. You need about a pound of yarn, a crochet hook size I, and 3 buttons (more or less to your preference).
The basketweave pattern makes this nice and plush with a beautiful look. Simple edging makes a bold statement without being frilly. The turtleneck is rarely seen in dog sweaters, and definitely makes it extra cozy and warm to keep your pup happy this winter!
Gauge square measures 6.5” width X 6.75” height:
Base row: Ch 21. Hdc in 3rd ch from hk. hdc across. Ch 2, turn. Row 1: Hdc across. Ch 2, turn. Row 2: 3 FPdc, 3 BPdc. Repeat from 2 more times. Hdc in t-ch-2. Ch 2, turn. Row 3: Repeat Row 2 Row 4: 3 BPdc, 3 FPdc. Repeat from 2 more times. Hdc in t-ch-2. Ch 2, turn. Row 5-6: Repeat Row 4 Row 7: 3 FPdc, 3 BPdc. Repeat from 2 more times. Hdc in t-ch-2. Ch 2, turn Row 8-12 : Repeat Rows 2-6 Row 13: Hdc across. Fasten off. (20 hdc)
