May Baby Blanket
I crocheted this sweet little afghan for my baby niece before she was born. It seemed only natural to call it a May Baby Blanket, as both the designer (me!) and the recipient (baby!) have May birthdays.
The blanket is comprised of twenty circles-in-squares, otherwise known as “squircles” and the color palette is a simple one of gray, white, and two shades of pink. If pink is not your thing (or your baby’s), it would be quite easy switch them out for two shades of blue, or a neutral aqua or yellow.
With it’s small size, this is an ideal pattern to work on when time is of the essence. A fast crocheter could work this up in a weekend. It took me a few weeks of evenings to complete mine. If you have more time, consider adding some squares and taking the project from stroller size to crib size, and beyond!
