May Be Mine
This top is knit in a T-shape, with the sleeves increased to the body at the armhole. Because the stitch pattern is mostly all garter stitch and lace, I was able to use a loosely spun finer yarn on a larger needle to give the drape I wanted for this design. This DK weight yarn knit up with just the right hand on a US9 needle. Experiment with DK or a light worsted. An Aran weight might be too heavy. Because I did not have enough Shiro in one color, I combined 2 different colors, using 3 skeins of each for the medium size. I also worked this top in a worsted cotton for summer. If you like Noro, I think Kureyon or Silk Garden could work well for this pattern.
Sizes and yardage (finished chest measurements)
Small - 39.5 inches (100 cm) - 685 yards (626 meters)
Medium - 44.5 inches (113 cm) - 780 yards (713 meters)
Large - 49.5 inches (126 cm) - 920 yards (841 meters)
I was making this top for my daughter, but decided for the time being, it may be mine. I like it too much. (And I even made her model it for the photos!)
