During spring in the Pacific Northwest, it can be helpful to remember May flowers will follow April showers. This year, that was more true than most, and that is celebrated on this sideways knit, asymmetrical lace shawl. It begins with eyelet rainfall and ends with a garden of lace flowers. The sample is bound off with a tiny picot cast-off, and the pattern also includes instructions for a plain edge.

Unlike in nature, the amount of rainfall can be controlled on this shawl, and options also include all rain and all flower shawls. Instructions give numbers for two sizes, and the size can be customized.

Designed for Shetland 2-ply jumper weight yarns, this shawl also looks great in a variety of fingering, sport, and DK weights.
