TWO PATTERNS IN ONE!!! Yes, you read that right. The May “Hat” pattern actually includes instructions for two different headbands: a lightweight headband for spring and summer, and a classy ear warmer for the cooler months.

The May Summer Headband is worked onto a hair tie so it stays tight against your head. A slipping headband is one of my pet peeves! But if crocheting onto a hair tie seems intimidating, don’t worry…I’ve included an easy-to-follow photo tutorial to help you figure it out.

The May Winter Headband uses the same basic arch mesh stitch as the summer headband, but it also includes a filler in a contrasting color to keep the wind from getting to your ears!
