May the Moon be with You
This is a fundraising pattern for my late brother, Mino (1971-2004).
“May the Moon be with You” – Here is the third sideways shawl from the “Mivo Theory Collection.” Once you free yourself from the concepts of symmetry and regularity, a shawl designing opens up for so many possibilities. With this collection, I am exploring the endless possibilities.
“Moon” eyelet rows are introduced in this simple garter shawl. They will hug you when it is worn. Stripes allow two colors to melt together in an unexpected layout, which will make this shawl fun to wear.
I recommend you pick out yarns that you enjoy knitting garter stitches with, yarns that you would be excited to see how they work together in stripes, and yarns that you want to be with.
May the Moon be with you.

All the proceeds of this pattern will be donated to the Minoru Hokari Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Australian National University. My late brother, Minoru Hokari (“Mino” 1971-2004) died of cancer at the age of 32. The scholarship fund supports young scholars who study Indigenous Australians through fieldwork. We are trying to fully fund it to achieve its perpetuity. Please help.
Please visit Being Connected with HOKARI MINORU to meet Mino.
