Maya
Maya combines simplicity and elegance in this sideways-knit shawl. Starting with just a few stitches, the stockinette portion is slowly increased to create an asymmetrical triangle. The lace border is worked around the corner of the triangle, and finished off by attaching it to the live stitches on the needle. Combined with a gradient yarn from Done Roving Yarns, this shawl is interesting and fun to knit!
Yarn used in shawl shown: Done Roving Yarns, Frolicking Feet DK (Monochromatic-Dyed Gradient), 100% superwash merino, (500 yards/170 grams), in color Peach Blossoms (1 ball)
Pattern Notes
Pattern is written for one size, but can be adjusted to make it larger or smaller. If you would like a smaller shawl, work Body of Shawl section until there are 57 sts in the stockinette section. For a larger shawl, work additional repeats of rows 1-18 of the Body of Shawl section until there are 75 sts in the stockinette section. Work the rest of the pattern as written, with fewer or more repeats of Chart B in the Knitted-On Border section, as necessary. Remember, changing the size of your shawl will affect the amount of yarn you will need.
