The Maya Hat Knitting Pattern is for any knitter, beginner and experienced, that knows how to knit, purl, K2tog, ssk and knit in the round.

Maya hat is a cosy and snug knit in colourful stripey pattern with added texture from the contrasting stripes. Great stash buster if you choose multi-colour stripes, can be made with two colours, gradient - sky is the limit.

  • You just need to know the basic knit, purl, K2tog and ssk stitches and how to knit in the round.

Materials:

  • 4.00mm and 4.5mm knitting needles (circular or DPN)
  • Approx. 100 g of Worsted/Aran yarn (you may need more if you want to add a pompom!) - I used about used Bonus Aran Wool
  • Yarn Needle
  • Stitch marker

Size:
Medium adult size to fit circumference 22in/55cm to 24in/60cm.
Total length (with brim unfolded): 9.5in / 24cm
You can alter the length to make it as long or as short as you desire by expanding the ribbing or adding additional stripes in the body of the hat.

20 stitches and 30 rows =4 in/10cm in main pattern (after blocking)
