This knitting pattern is written using standard American knitting abbreviations.
NEEDLES: 5mm (US 8) Circular Needle 16 inches (40cm) OR Pair of straight needles if preferred - This scarf is knit flat.
YARN: Any natural fiber worsted/aran yarn - Wool, Merino, Alpaca etc
Recommended - Cascade 220 / Colourway - Smoke Blue - (600 yards)
GAUGE:
20sts = 4 inches (10cm)
5mm - Worked in stockinette stitch - OR - Any size needle to obtain gauge
FINISHED MEASUREMENT: (Approx after blocking)
Width - 9 ¼ inches (23.5cm)
Length - 84 ¼ inches (214cm)
ABBREVIATIONS USED:
K - Knit
P - Purl
K2tog - Knit two together
Yo - Yarn over
Skp - Slip next stitch knitwise to right hand needle, K1, pass slipped stitch over knit stitch - 1 stitch decreased
